Answer summary
A user inquired about their ability to extend their visa in Koh Samui after experiencing multiple flight cancellations. They are looking to apply for a 60-day COVID-19 extension and have been advised that it is possible to do so at the local immigration office in Koh Samui, provided they have filed a TM30 for residence there. Additional comments suggest that travel between Koh Samui and Bangkok is still possible via land transport options.

You CAN indeed get a 60 day covid extension at the Immigration office in Koh Samui. Go and talk to them and/or post on a Samui or the southern island f/b pages.

First... You are not stranded on Samui. There are people traveling every day by auto and taxi from Samui to many destinations including Bangkok.
Second... There are flights leaving Bangkok daily internationally to many destinations.
Third... If you have filed a TM 30 as your official residence in Samui then try to apply for the COVID extension at Samui immigration.
Fourth... Be prepared if asked to explain...
Why you are not yet able to leave Thailand ?...
As Thai immigration officer's are beginning to ask that question.
Good luck.

Great answer! They should have been asking that question for a long time, especially of people who have entered recently!

As long as you have a TM-30 filed in Koh Samui you should be able to use the immigration office there for another Covid extension
