Good morning from phuket!  Question!

I have been in phuket 5 days. (45 day tourist entry).  I will want to extend for an extra 30 day visa. I will need to change my return flight date.  Earlier the change the fee for changing my ticket will be cheaper.  Is there a official date/ time on applying for the extension?  Or can I do now? Or is it too early?   Look forward to your comments. Thank you.
