hello! thank you for adding me to the group. I am currently here on tourist visa and once I have my extra month extended (total 90 days) I will have to leave start of May.

What if I would like to apply to extend my visa for another few months. I heard since pandemic there is some kind of amnesty visa option? Is this still in place and where can I find the details regarding the process?

I would definitely consider no matter the cost of this visa extension.

Thank you for your advice!

Answer summary

A user inquired about extending their tourist visa in Thailand and mentioned hearing about an amnesty visa option that may still be available due to the pandemic. Responses clarified that there is currently no amnesty option and pointed out that a 60-day COVID extension was available until March 30, which is the last day to apply. They were advised to bring their passport and rental agreement to immigration for assistance with their visa situation.

there is no amnesty option in place.

There is a 60 day covid extension but the program that allows them runs out on the 30th of March <- meaning right now that's the last day that you can apply for one

does that mean I can get one more 60 day Covid extension stamp until approx. May 30 if I visit immigration before March 30? My current 60 day ends on March 30.

Unfortunately

, the fact you think it will be extended doesn't really mean anything :( The thai government hasn't said ONE word about extending this 60 day covid stamp program and it expires on the 30th of March. Now could they extend it? Yep, BUT did they say anything about it at all? nope :(
