I am very confused now, I read two versions, about covid visa.

1: Must leave Thailand on March 27 (current policy).

2: I can also apply for a covid visa in early March. The validity period is two months, which means that the visa can be used until May.

This information is very important to me as it is difficult for me to go back to my country. Thank you everyone.

TLDR : Answer Summary
There is confusion regarding the COVID visa extension in Thailand. One viewpoint mentions that individuals must leave Thailand by March 27 under the current policy, whereas another suggests that one can apply for a COVID extension in early March, which would last for two months until May. Clarification indicates that this is not a traditional visa but a 60-day extension based on the inability to travel due to COVID-19, which can only be applied for if the individual originally entered on a 60-day tourist visa or a 30-day visa exemption.

extend your current Tourist visa with 30 days, then apply before the total of your 90 days expire (and before March 26) for 60 COVID extension days. Easypiesy since you are a new tourist, no problem

>Must leave Thailand on March 27 (current policy).

If your most recent visa is a Non-Imm (Non-B, Non-O, Non-OA, Non-ED), you can not apply for any more 60 day Extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19. If you apply, it will be rejected and you will have 7 days to leave.

>I can also apply for a covid visa in early March. The validity period is two months, which means that the visa can be used until May.

You are applying for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 (NOT a visa). IF approved, you will be granted another 60 days to stay in Thailand. You can only apply if you entered on a 60 day tourist visa or a 30 day visa exempt.

Keep in mind it's not a covid VISA. it's an extension based on your previous visa/extension. The category of this visa will determine if you can apply for the extension

What if the Non O/ED Visa was cancelled due to completion of college? Are we back on the original tourist visa prior to switching within country?

my immigration office and the ones nearby read the new rules as the “last valid” visa. I had to use an agent to extend. I also believe they will be getting rid of the covid extension so best to plan for long term.

Stacey Logan. That's a question for your immigration office. I would think not, that it would depend on the visa/extension you were on immediately before you went onto covid extension, but that's an immigration decision. I would be asking the question before you actually apply. If you get that "seven days to leave" stamp you have nowhere else to go

you need a covid test 72 hours before you show up or politely ask the people to give you a free test there.

Might be better to get the test beforehand unless you speak a little thai

January 25th, the so-called last day, I want to apply for a two-month visa extension, but they told me that I need to apply for a one-month visa extension first, but I asked if they could continue to apply for two months in March , their answer is not clear, so I am not sure if the last day after the visa extension is March 26th, or if in March I can get a two-month visa extension until May

many offices aren’t reading the new rules this way even though it translates as this. The immigration officer yesterday said to me “You knew the new rules why didn’t you come before.” I tried explaining to her that people are very confused by the wording but they don’t need to care. I used an agent for the first time yesterday.
