Hi, we were in koh tao and collected the forms for an extension on our 45 day visa waiver, which we have delayed doing, but have not overstayed, they did want the tm30 filled in by our hotel.
We are now on samui and the hotel has agreed to do the tm30 forms for us but we will be applying for our extension in Surat Thani. Itβs the same province will this be ok or do we need our accommodation In Surat thani to give us the forms?
Also, does it need to be blue ink π€
Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is inquiring about the process of applying for an extension on their 45-day visa waiver after collecting the necessary forms in Koh Tao, specifically the TM30 form from their hotel in Koh Samui. They want confirmation if it's acceptable to apply for the extension in Surat Thani, the same province, without needing accommodation in Surat Thani to provide additional forms. A comment suggests that as they are in the same province, it should be fine, and emphasizes the importance of using blue ink for official documents to avoid complications.
You should always do official Thai documents in blue ink as with black ink there is the risk of them saying it's not original, it's a copy, even if they watch you fill it out. You can try it in black but just know the risks.
hi my tm30 has a check out date of 30th april address samui but we cant get to the office in suratthanti until 1st may, do i need another tm30? It does say that this may or may not be required? Any guidance appreciated xx
