TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your tourist visa in Bangkok for an additional 30 days, you need to visit the main immigration office at the Government Complex on Chaengwattana Road, Building B. You should apply for the extension ideally 15 days before your initial visa expiration date (2nd August). Bring the following documents: a filled out TM7 form, a passport-sized photo, copies of your passport's data page, your existing visa sticker, your entry stamp, and the TM6 Departure Card. The fee for the extension is 1,900 baht. There are also copy shops nearby that can assist with making copies and filling out forms.

The 400K THB must be SEASONED in a Bank account IN YOUR NAME for 2 months (*NOT* 60 days). You can open a bank account on any visa. This is not a banking advice group though.

That's a very big thing to forget to mention. But you can get a couple of longer extension of stays.

To get a one year extension of stay based on marriage to a female Thai national, you will need the following:

1. Your passport and a copy of:

- Your data ("picture") page

- Your Non-O visa

- Your entry stamp

- Your departure card

2. Your wife PHYSICALLY next to you, and

- Her ID card and a copy of her ID card

- Her housebook, and a copy of the first page

3. To meet the money requirements, which are:

- 400K THB in a Thai bank account, seasoned for 2 months OR;

- 40K THB in income OR;

- a letter from your embassy saying you make 40K THB a month

4. Marriage certificate (either the rose border certificate, OR a translated copy from your home country)

5. The application form

6. 2x passport pictures

7. 1,900 THB for the processing fee.

Different immigration offices have different requirements, and this may include:

- A copy of the TM30 filed where you live

- A hand drawn map to your house

- Pictures of you and your wife in various locations in the house (front of the house/ condo, in all rooms, etc)

- Witnesses or interviews with neighbors

- Rental contract (if renting property or a condo)

- Updated marriage certificate from your local "city hall" called Amphur office (Kor Ror 2)

You can also get ONE 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family:

1. Your passport and a copy of:

- Your data ("picture") page

- Your Non-O visa

- Your entry stamp

- Your departure card

2. Your wife PHYSICALLY next to you, and

- Her ID card and a copy of her ID card

- Her housebook, and a copy of the first page

3. Marriage certificate (either the rose border certificate, OR a translated copy from your home country)

4. The application form

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB for the processing fee.

in bangkok you can go apply for a new extension when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp AND as long as you're applying for an extension for the same reason (tourism/tourism, covid/covid) they will add the new extension to your current expiration date

they will add the 30 day extension to the expiration date of your current entry stamp

I did mine there today. It took 30 minutes. You can download the TM7 form and fill that in before you go. They give you 2 additional forms at Immigration to fill in so make sure you take a pen

In Bangkok you go to the main immigration office at the government complex on Chaengwattana Road, Building B and once you're in the immigration office you want Counter J

You need:

- filled out application w/passport sized photo on it

copies of

- data page of your passport

- visa sticker

- entry stamp

- TM6 Departure Card

Those things and 1900baht should get you a 30 day extension

There are copy shops in the basement that will make your copies take your photo and even fill out the form for you if you want them to
