Aller simple. Merci pour votre aide.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the concerns of a Canadian traveler arriving in Bangkok with a 30-day visa exemption and a one-way ticket while wishing to apply for a Non-O visa upon arrival. Community responses caution that airlines may require proof of an onward journey to allow boarding, as immigration may deny entry for travelers without return tickets. Suggestions are made to purchase a cheap onward ticket to neighboring countries or to obtain the Non-O visa prior to arrival in Thailand to avoid complications.

I got pulled at Bangkok airport and told last time they will let me in without the correct visa as I come too often. They are pulling up regular visitors to Thailand. One of my mates even got deported back to Malaysia. The warning they give is go back to your own country and make the correct visa if your a regular visitor and that's what I'll be doing next time. If your not a regular just be ready at the airport to buy a bus ticket out of Thailand on 30 days. So even if they let you board in your own country you can get pulled up at immigration when you land

You need to ask your airline if you are denied entry for what ever reason it's your airline will responsible for your return flight home thai immigration will not give 5 flying cares about you flights

You need onward journey ticket, you can buy cheap ticket to manila or malaysia or cambodia which costs around $50.00 if you book early

Why not get your initial Non-O in Canada which does not require an onward flight and also make it easier to get your bank account set up and the funds seasoned

Aller bon voyage vieux caribou 😉

Its airline likely to stop you, they know nothing about applying for visas in Thailand. They are liable if Thailand denies you entry

Very risky

You need to ask your airline. They are the ones who might ask you for proof of leaving Thailand within 30 days before they will let you board your flight to Thailand.
