Thank Group for all the great info here. My First Question: I am waiting for final approval of my LTR Visa. Am I going to be ok with a one way ticket from US to Thailand? The airlines have checked for a round trip ticket at the beginning of my last two Thailand visits.
Thanks Again!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The questioner is concerned about boarding a flight to Thailand with a one-way ticket while waiting for their LTR Visa approval. Community responses suggest that without a long-term visa, airlines may require proof of onward travel, such as an onward ticket or a bus ticket out of Thailand, to allow boarding. They may also suggest purchasing a temporary travel document if necessary.
LONG TERM RESIDENT (LTR) VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
If your visa is complete, then no problem. If not, on boarding from USA, the airline will likely deny without an ONWARD (not return ticket). You can ask to sign a waiver though. All you need to do though is buy a bus ticket out of thailand or a fake flight
good answer mate! I know Emirates out of Manchester would never let me past even after producing my Tabian Baan, my yellow book and my pink ID card! My last couple of times I flew through Kuwait and Delhi and no problems! I am flying Qatar from London in 10 days so not sure if can get through or not! Booking a bus is a good cheap option instead of booking a flight out of Thailand!
Been living in Bangkok for 28 years now and only refused twice, only at Manchester! Hoping to get through Heathrow with no problems as only 2 hours transit in London!
If you don't already have a long term visa then the airline could very well not allow you to board your flight if you don't have proof of a ticket out of Thailand.
You can Google "onward travel ticket" and purchase proof of a flight out of Thailand that should satisfy their requirements.
