I am a UK citizen out working in New Caledonia.

I want to apply for a TR visa online but due to working constraints I can’t get the booked flight information yet as the customer organises the travel.

As it states a three month ‘use by’ limit, can I apply without the booking? Then update for the CofE when I have the details?

Answer summary

A UK citizen currently working in New Caledonia inquires about applying for a Thai TR visa online without having a confirmed flight booking due to work constraints. They want to know if it's possible to apply without the booking and update it later for the Certificate of Entry (CofE). A commenter suggests that it generally depends on the embassy. While some embassies may require confirmed flight details, others may accept an approximation, such as a screenshot of flight options. It is mentioned that the London Embassy is often more flexible regarding this issue.

Depends on the Embassy you’ll be dealing with. You should be ok with flight details but not a confirmed booking at the visa stage but some Embassies are more awkward than others.

Screenshot the airline website with your name and flights but don’t pay.

You can use different flights for CofE.

London Embassy usually ok with this, don’t know about Paris.

thank you, I will be applying via the London embassy. I assume ASQ is the same process? do I need to show a hotel after the ASQ as well?

You’ll probably need an address for afterwards but don’t think they’re too fussy (apart for STV). Again, shouldn’t need a fully paid booking. The website will demand various things but you can be fairly flexible with what you put in a few sections. Embassy seem ok with it.
