Hello all.

Quick question. A friend of mine has a non b visa but has lost his job and has been told his wp will be cancelled at end of this month. He has booked a flight back to UK on Friday. Will he have any problems re-entering Thailand within the next 6 months on a tourist visa if he hasn't been to labour department to cancel his visa? He has just been told that he needs to do that but is unsure whether its necessary as he is leaving before any overstay.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A friend has a non-B visa which is linked to a job that he has lost, and he plans to leave for the UK soon. He is concerned about potential issues when re-entering Thailand on a tourist visa within the next six months, especially since he hasn't formally canceled his work permit. Typically, it is advised to cancel the work permit and visa at the labor department to avoid any complications despite leaving before overstaying.
