What happens to my non-B visa and work permit if I can't return to Thailand and finish with my employer?

Hi, I have a non-b teaching extension of stay and work permit. I need to fly back to the UK at the start of April for 3 weeks and will buy a re entry permit.

My question is, what happens if I can’t fly back and I need to finish with my employer. Will this give me problems re entering Thailand because I did not cancel my Visa and work permit in the normal way?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you can't return to Thailand and need to finish with your employer, it may complicate your situation regarding your non-B visa and work permit. Not canceling them in the normal way may lead to future re-entry issues. Your employer typically cannot cancel your extension of stay and work permit without your presence, leaving your visa status uncertain.

Is there anything my employer can do if I can’t make it back? Can they cancel the extension and wp without me being present (guessing the answer is no but thought I would check)

Thanks for the help 👍

Good guess, the employer can cancel the work permit but not the Extension of Stay as the passport is needed to cancel the stamps.
