I own my own company and conduct business regular and clients and companies need to contact me in the manner that is convenient for them. New flash most companies operate with a phone in an office.

As for the bank, first of all I use a credit card for all my spending, why because it gives me protection. Second I have no fees and the conversion is at the base rate. So what are you talking about me needing my head tested

You make a lot of assumptions about someone’s needs and circumstances when you know absolutely nothing about them. Here’s a reality check: not everyone lives the same life or has the same priorities as you. Just because you don’t do X, Y, or Z doesn’t mean someone else doesn’t have valid reasons for doing so

Will my query be relevant to the majority of people who are using a DTV to stay for a long period of time? Probably!

This question is no different to the hundreds of people who ask about opening a bank account Thailand's. Do you tell all of them to ask somewhere else.

I'm traveling to Thailand using my DTV and asking a question many others have faced, it's one of the best places to ask such a question.

If it wasn't relevant to the group the admin wouldn't have approved it!

oh I don't know maybe if I use my card and it gets locked, or if I lose any of my cards and need to speak to them.

The bank was one example of a company that may decide to call my registered U.K. number.

Just because your bank has never called you that doesn't mean someone else won't have or hasn't had a different experience.

Travel insurance and being able to call the emergency number or them call me ( been down that road before )

Do you happen to know if someone calls within the country the ported number is based gets a normal dial tone when calling or if they get a different tone which lets them know you are out of the country?
