I totally understand... but quarantine for a month i could not imagine either. I do understand how important it is to protect the eco system in Australia.

Took 3 dogs two years ago.. no problems ! They wanted me to pay import tax... early morning after a long flight I wasn't in the mood so I stood my ground with a return ticket in my hand stating that I of cause had no plan of leaving my dog here... so why the tax ? They let my go....

Takes some time to get your dog ready... if vaccines and rabies are up to date you will still need the blood test and the paperwork done... your vet know or will find out and make the dog ready for you.

Be aware of the problems bringing you dog back. I am no Australian but I heard it’s a nightmare! Good luck
