I used Grab almost every day. It is convenient, safe and clean. Drivers are also friendly, if they're not too shy to have a conversation with you...even with limited English.

Precautions are taken however they believe can be made. People are traveling from all over the world and Thailand has hit 3 waves in a course of a year. I was there for a year and they're slowing opening back up. So for the safety of all, maybe they want to be sure that when you arrive you'll be as protected as can be during quarantine. After that you should be able to open windows and balcony doors as much as you want. I'd just adhere for the time being.

I flew out of country into Thailand on a Friday and took my test Wednesday @1400.

So as long as it is 72 hours or less you should be fine.
