Aussie immigration a pain unfriendly over bearing . Last time went through used the gates but didn’t work requested assistance. Told get in that queue “ nothing else said, “hey this is an oz passport “. When i got to an officer who was rude to say the best asked if i had filled out an atd. there is no problem now or in the future and no repercussions in overstaying for 3 days. With respect going to immigration paying more is not essential in this instance of only 2-3 days. To spending a lot of time in travel and at immigration is not necessary in this instance for more than 3-7 days maybe this why they have an overstay payment office at the airport . Friends who come here often have done this. As said different if contemplating a longer time
