Hi Robert I moved from the METV option to the SETV option because I can't provide a letter of employment! I want to stay in Thailand for longer period as possible without having to keep going out and back in. But yes I am visiting other countries in the region Aswell. I was hoping for 6 months with the least visa runs as possible 🙂

I agree... It's baffling! It's the same as asking how long is a piece of string lol!

Cardiff is nearest for me about 1.5 hours away. I'm planning to arrange an appointment a few days before I travel as from what I've read here it's valid from the date of issue and not the date of entry. Don't want to lose too many days!

Ooh, and just to say I'm really looking forward to filling in the online application.... NOT 😲. Think I'll get started now and hope to have it complete by February 😂.... I will of course read the manual first!

thankyou James.. I'm planning on visiting as many countries in SEA as possible I just don't want to rush my Thai experience! It's been 29 years since my last 30 day visit. In fact, there was only one hotel on koh phi phi back then that had fresh running water, everywhere else had salt water only!! Anyway nothing to do with visas so I'll leave it there 😊
