You can stay anywhere in Vietnam during the waiting period. It’s not even necessary to stay in Hanoi while applying for a visa.

nobody told me. 1 year ago I did the same trip and it was pretty easy to book an appointment in Vientiane so I just didn’t expect it gonna be fully booked until middle of the next month..

And yeah, now I see, because I was checking this app in Savannakhet and it was working very strange. But now I see it works.
