well...as I see it,as long as the required documents are met then there will be no prob with the visa(nonB) application in Laos,,,

and it is true and correct that in case of the tourist visa extension those citizen of these countries need to go to their homeland to apply for it...that's what we do also before(well its another visa story)

an update to this (in case of non b teaching visa)

since my bf is an algerian passport holder he needs a visa to get to Laos to process his nonB

we applied for it and it took 2 weeks to receive it.(that's how it works to anyone who applies for visa in their embassy,atleast 2weeks)

then by plane he went Laos,he gave his application and complete documents from the school.

the next day he received it with no hassle.
