 thank you Tod, do I just walk in and tell them I want a single entry tourist visa? Is there anything extra I need to do, or know? How long does it take? I am sorry to ask so many questions, but I have never been to a consulate and I don't know what to expect.

 yes, I will look for a school that offers the ED visa, but I have to have at least 3 weeks left on the tourist visa to get the ED visa processed, so I am looking to try to get the 60 day to allow me more time to get that done
