Ron Angel No thanks. Thailand isn't that perfect for me.

Todd, How do I do that, nowhere on the website is this mentioned. I searched and saw the former medical visa was done away with. My issue is I'm trying to follow the rules but there's nothing offered for me. It's tiring bouncing around when you're not well. Again it's not easy for everyone, I struggle with bank account fees since I can't open a bank account here. Hell, I'm paying rent minding my own business. I find people that know all the ins and outs of the information forget not everyone fits a mold. I am don't like relying on stamps I prefer the 60 day visas however that didn't work out so well last time. I only have three in and put to be clear. I've not been here that long but it's a hassle each time to renew. So I am considering other options Thailand isn't right for everyone. I prefer straightforward consistent things not rules/laws that can change at a whelm. Maybe that's just me. Like they say we all have a choice I am not into jumping hoops or being stressed out about today I may get questioned by IO because they think I'm here too long.

That isn't how it looks considering the horror stories we have been hearing. Either way it's hard to stay long term if you're not in one of their boxes. I'm here for medical tourism there's no visa for that. I'm on ssdi so definitely not working but I'm not 50 or looking to marry a Thai citizen, study or invest. Its not always black and white so what visa am I supposed to be on. If they don't like you actually staying longer without being on one the visas they put out for long term? Everyone can tell others what they think they should do but not everyone's story is the same. I will still be anxious and stressed when I leave and enter after all this drama. It doesn't feel Thailand really wants medical tourism. So as I said I can move along to a more welcoming country.

I'm the same way. I don't carry that much around nor do I like to especially since I was traveling in Malaysia but I had drama in Penang. My luck I'd not get it and have trouble landing in Thailand. I'm a worrier with anxiety issues so trust me when I say this bothers me. When I have to fly out again I will stress again. I'm seriously thinking of moving on to another country since visa rules are getting tighter.

I flew back in from Penang Tuesday night, after being in queue for about 30 minutes, a lady got pulled from the Booth next to mine and questioned by a few IOs before being escorted off. I didn't get asked for the 20,000 baht just how long I plan to stay. I have several free entry stamps an one tourist visa in my passport. I was a little nervous since I had a bad issue with Thai consulate in Penang this week, so I had it with me just in case. Better safe than sorry nowadays!
