I have before and it cost me $1000. Absolutely useless as I did his job. Leaving is alot easier then trying to get into Australia if you have the correct information. I also didnt ask ABF for and exemption. I told them in very little words and it was granted within 24 hours. Using an agent also doesn not guarantee an exemption as I have seen multiple people still being denied entry into Australia.

Obviously just my thoughts and good advice from what I have seen.

Check out "partners apart" and "aussie farang stuck overseas" i think its called.

Partners apart does have some info to help by migration agents in their free time. They actually have done a pretty good job.

Good luck mate.

This is the site for exemptions.

From memory you can create folders and attach them as there isnt enough space for everything.

Also write a brief description in their box outlining it all. Or not.

I'll have a look now and suss it out for you

Be prepared for rejections. Go back and reassess your lodgement and alter it or not. ABF should have all the necessary info on their website.

Just reapply after the rejection as a different officer will look at it.

Hey
@Jason *****
. Things have become super strict since I left back in January. They dont want Aussies travelling and coming back pretty much.

I haven't kept upto date lately because it doesnt concern me as much to leave Australia.

You can use an agent but I would save your cash. As tou can do it yourself. You will need to do stat decs, pain in the arse. Also tick that you are leaving for 3+ months or compelling/ compassionate reason to travel (ie; family), show photos and financial evidence that you have a family waiting for your return.

Absolute pain in the arse but the more evidence you have to support your claim, the better chance you have to get granted an exemption. Also note they have brought in a 3 month expiry date on travel exemptions.

Once you have your exemption then proceed with related visa, CoE, quaranhotel and flights.

Hope this helps.
