Ok now I'm thinking about Penang. Airport is close, seems like it would be a nice place to visit. Not really keen on Laos

Yes but that would only give me a total of 60 days instead of 90. It is a lot easier to just leave and come back though. Don't even need to leave airports. Maybe I'll consider that.

Thanks Patrick. Didn't even consider Laos. I just want the easiest possible way without too much hassle and Vientiane sounds perfect
