Has anyone been in overstay and got their 2nd extension? Did you have to pay the 500 baht a day overstay fine? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the experience of a user who is facing an overstay situation in Thailand. They inquire about receiving a second extension and whether they will need to pay the daily overstay fine despite not being able to leave the country due to border closures. Comments include advice on handling overstay fines, the requirements for extensions, and the importance of avoiding overstaying in the first place.
There is NO need to go in overstay, please do everything you can to prevent it. DO not listen to people who tell you, in Disneyworld they tell you to go in overstay and it is no problem, Goofy will help you.
Thanks, take the 3.000 Thb with you if you go today, 6 x 500 thb a day fine for overstay, PLUS the 1.900 Thb for the Extension of Stay and hope that the Immigration Officer is lenient and just stamp you the new 30 days, do not get angry as this new stamp is added on 21 March and not start today.
Sorry I should have been more informative. Ok so I was due to border bounce 20th March, 30 day stamp expired 21st March. Borders closed. I emailed the British embassy on Friday about the letter with no reply. I emailed again yesterday with an instant reply and now have my personalised letter. So I am currently in 5 days of overstay, and I'm wondering will the 2500 baht fine be waived or will I have to pay it even though I couldn't leave and the British Embassy support's this fact.
So you got your first 30 day Extension of Stay, you applied for the second one and got not approved and 7 days to leave the country and now you are in overstay?
