Documents required:

- Confirmation of stay in Thailand (5 months Bangkok + 4 months Phuket, both via Airbnb)

- Receipt of payment for accommodation (from Airbnb)

- Flight ticket to Bangkok

- Flight ticket exit before 180 days

- Bank statements (6 months) with 500.000baht from Revolut (saving account)

- Bank statements (6 months) with payments from clients from Revolut (Eur account, different from saving)

- Local Bank statements (6 months) for proof of tax payments

- Portfolio

- CV

- Contracts with clients signed by both parties

- Czech residence card/proof of residence (also gave Czech driving licence)

- Interview even if it was an E-visa just to talk and explain basically everything I submitted, my intention in Thailand, why Thailand and so on

Staff was quite nice during the interview, they sure ask for a lot of documents compared to other places, but if you have all your cards in order you will get it, if you try to cut corners because you don't have all the requirements, well, you will have issues.

Can someone shed some light on this for me....

Applying for my 2nd extension of stay on my Non O based on marriage. This time in CW because I now have a work permit and live in BKK.

We have to do an interview with a “supervisor” and explain why we are applying in BKK when we originally applied in Ubon (last year). Despite them seeing my WP and knowing why we moved. The supervisor will decide “if” I get an extension or not.

Is it really that dramatic? Has no one else in the history of Thailand immigration applied for an extension in a different city than their original extension?

The whole thing just seems ludicrous.
