Hi everyone.

I was planning to go Thailand for about 4 days for leisure reasons. However, because I'm just a student & I do not have the income on my own for the trip, my family members are willing to sponsor my trip. The requirements were to submit a proof of relationship to the account holder who will sponsor my trip, in which initially they asked me to submit a birth certificate certification with the Nepal Embassy in Singapore.

I managed to get a certification from the Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok as there is no Nepal Embassy in Singapore, but when i submitted that document as proof alongside with my own birth certificate, they asked me to certify it with MOFA thailand or the Nepal Embassy in Singapore.

Is there anyway I can contact MOFA Thailand fast? Or is there anyone I'm able to contact directly who can help with the process?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is seeking guidance on traveling to Thailand for leisure as a student, sponsored by family. They encountered issues with document verification regarding proof of relationship to the sponsor, navigating between the Nepal Embassy and MOFA in Thailand. Community comments suggest alternative approaches to handle sponsorship proof and provide contact suggestions for the appropriate authorities.

Few things need to check. Visa requirements. If you eligible visa on arrival then no need any documents. If need visa then required one letter from sponsor and their documents need to attach with the application. If you need documents format and assistance you can contact me. As I'm working in Airlines i had applied too many visas for Thailand

Woah there, calm down, bro. I didn't mean to get you all worked up in a public forum. No need to be angry.

So no embassy in Singapore but there is a consulate so why not contact them for the information you need

If your family members will sponsor you, why dont you just ask them to deposit money into your bank account and do away with all the other headache paperwork? They just want proof you can afford to A. Come here.

B. Leave here.

Why do you need any of this? If your family is giving you money for the trip you would have the money no need to explain your relationship

you're speaking from a place of privilege. Not everyone can enter Thailand with visa exempt or visa on arrival. Some countries are required to apply for and receive a visa before they can come to Thailand. Nepal is one of those countries.

it would still be better to have the money in your own name. This isn't about having to get a visa. See if putting your name on their account would be good enough. That would be better than having a sponsor

@Bonnie ******
easy if you can plan ahead 4 months so the bank statements from the last 3 months don't show a transfer, but not always possible

you don't have to show a transfer. Put your name on their account. The money has been in the account for long enough. It doesn't matter when your name was put on the account

@Bonnie ******
depends on the banking regulations in Nepal though. Also I'd be hesitant to add anyone to my bank account.

I have no idea why as well. They needed a proof of relationship to the sponsor and they are able to see the relationship through my birth certificate itself but I'm not sure why they require extra proof :/

@Ashma ******
They are thinking you have a sponsor in Thailand, you’re just going on a tourist visa that does not pertain to you
Bonnie *******
@Ashma ******
just have your family give you the money instead of being a sponsor

I can't exactly have that either, because they require to see the income statement from the past 3 months. Even if they give me the money for this trip, the money they deem as sufficient should be seen from the last 3 months so it wouldn't count. So instead, I gave my family member's income statement because they have sufficient income to sponsor me

why do you have to have a sponsor?
