Where should I go for a Covid-19 visa extension for my non-immigrant B visa?

Hello everybody,

I hope that you are all safe and sound during this pandemic.

Here is my situation:

I have a non-immigrant B for teaching visa that expires tomorrow. I am not renewing with the school. I already have my U.S. Embassy letter for the Covid-19 virus extension.

Do I need to go to Chaeng Wattana or the new place at Impact Arena? The posts are getting quite confusing because I see some people getting it done at CW and then there are other posts saying that you must go to the other place based on a photo circulating. However, the photo does not specifically say Covid19 emergency extensions.

I would ask for a clear and accurate response based on your own experience within the past week. Please do not give speculations! I know that there are other teachers out there who are in the same predicament because this is the time for a large number of contracts to expire. Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on where to go for a visa extension due to Covid-19, specifically whether to visit Chaeng Wattana or Impact Arena, as their current visa is expiring soon.

All you can do is go out to Chaengwattana to the section that gives you the extension (for teachers its N and for workers its M) and see what they will do.

I haven't seen them cancel and extension without documentation from the employer. Who knows what they will do in this situation

We will see what happens tomorrow. I already have each and every piece of paperwork sorted for the Covid extension

Ok thank you. I thought it would be CW and the same counter I have been going to for all these years. I appreciate the information

Are you on the initial 90 day entry from a Non-B visa? <- as it you didn't get an extension at the immigration office yet?

I am not sure what you mean. I have had consistent nonB visas for over twelve years with no breaks

I think you're going to have to get the documents from your employer, cancel your work permit and then cancel the current extension and THEN apply for the unable to travel due to covid-19 extension.
