Proof of onward travel question: I will enter on visa exempt (US passport) at Suvarnabhumi Airport (that's where I land, with a connecting flight to Chiang Mai). I plan to extend the visa exempt for an additional 30 days at local immigration office (Chiang Mai), and buy a flight ticket from Chiang Mai to Yangon to apply for ED Visa. So 2 questions: #1 Is it okay to have proof of onward travel during the period of the extension of the visa exempt (e.g. 50 days after original entry), rather than within the 30 day visa exemption? #2 Is it important to have proof of onward to my home country, rather than a country in the region?
