Could anyone tell me what form I complete for an ED visa. The forms on the thai embassy site don't seem to have info about this type of visa. I have all the relevant paperwork prepared by my language school just need to know what form to complete to take with these to the embassy in hanoi.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for an ED visa at the Thai embassy in Hanoi, you need to complete the specific application form which can be found on the Thai consulate's website. It's also possible to obtain the form in person at the embassy. Ensure you have all necessary documents ready, including copies of your passport, entry stamp to Vietnam, and a passport-sized photo. The visa fee for a 90-day single entry is $80 USD, which is the only currency accepted at that consulate.

They have sorted all the relevant documentation from the MoE it's just me being overly cautious and my natural worrying instincts that things can go wrong!

Shouldn't your school be doing that for you.

The school provides documentation from them and the Ministry of Education, the student is responsible for picking a thai consulate and filling out the appropriate application there ;)

application forms are specific to each consulate. This is the link from the thai consulate in Hanoi's website

You can also get the application when you get there. Remember they will need copies of your data page of your passport, your current entry stamp to vietnam and a passport sized photo.

A 90 day single entry Non-Immigrant Type ED visa is $80 US dollars <- that's the ONLY currency they take at the thai consulates there for the visa.

Thanks again

. It's my first time getting this type of visa so my head is full of questions as I don't want to get to Hanoi and find out there's a problem. I've lived in thailand for the past 2 years on a non o visa but as I've now started thai classes I thought I'd go this route for a change.

, as a rule they don't require proof of funds when you get a 90 day ED visa, but I'd have a print out of your bank account showing 20K baht in it just in case.

Their requirements on that website are a little hard to understand clearly

Do you also know how much they expect to see in a bank account and is a copy of an Internet banking screenshot ok?

On that form you mark the box on the top right for a Non-Immigrant Visa
