Dear expats, im about to finish my contract and i want to cancel my work permit and visa extension as soon as possible. what are the documents i would need to ask from my employer and what would be the process i need to follow? i know i have to go to the ministry of labour to cancel the WP and then with that receipt i need to go to CW, but i would like to know the specific documents i need. Thanks a lot, as usual, for all your help and guidance
TLDR : Answer Summary
To cancel your work permit and visa extension in Thailand, you will need to gather specific documents from your employer, including a letter stating your last day of employment. Additionally, the Ministry of Labour may require further documents such as a copy of the Thai company registry, a power of attorney, and a specific form provided by them. It's essential to cancel your work permit first before applying for a new visa using documents from your school, as you cannot apply for a new visa at a Thai consulate until after these processes are completed.
