Hello, I'm going to Vientiane embassy on 27th for applying for Ed visa. On the embassy website my booking is confirmed. Don't know what to expect, but if I can get the ed visa I have to enter to Thailand by border as you recommened me cause I have many tourist visa. Do they ask the proofs even on ed visa? Thank you again for your accurate and kind reply!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the user's upcoming application for an Ed visa at the Vientiane embassy and their concerns about what to expect during the process, especially regarding the requirement for proof of funds. Comments from the community suggest that while there are no reports of being asked for proof of funds when entering Thailand on a new 90-day Ed visa from Vientiane, it is advisable to have any relevant documentation ready. Additionally, the user mentions that their school has prepared the necessary documents for the application and asks about the possibility of applying at another embassy if they cannot enter on the scheduled date.

You are not going to have ANY problem stamping in to thailand at the Nong Khai land border on a new 90 day ED visa from the thai consulate in Vientiane..

there are no reports of them asking for proof of funds or anything. In fact it's hands down the easiest land border to enter thailand by.

When you say your school, have you already had an ED in the last 12 months?

You can be asked like every body else. If they ask or not is something nobody can tell you.

Actually I'm going to Vientiane cause my school recommend me to go there and they prepared all the documents for Vientiane Embassy; Moe letter expires on 28th so if I cannot enter in the Embassy may I try in another embassy?

Ok! Got it...

The letters from your school are addressed to the Embassy in Vientiane, you can not go to another Embassy unless you get new documents from your school.

Take the "3 proofs" if you have a longish history of entries on any visa or visa-exempt entries.

I believe you need to do a print out of the booking inc passport details in order to actually get in the building.
