Working remote as a meeting booker, does it meet the requirements for the DTV?

I’m currently on a t60 visa (Swedish citizen), is it obligatory to apply for the DTV outside Thailand?

Do I need to visit a embassy to apply through or is it possible via the e-visa?

Bank statements, will they check with the bank or just be satisfied with the proof I declare to them?

Appreciate the help 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether their role as a remote meeting booker meets the requirements for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand while currently on a T60 visa. They want to know if it's mandatory to apply for the DTV from outside Thailand, if they can do it online via e-visa, and how bank statements are verified during the application process. Comments clarify that the DTV cannot be applied for within Thailand, that an e-visa is usually required, and that applicants may need to show proof of income and employment.

And you should have a letter from your company stating that you are allowed to work remotely from Thailand (even if it is your own company) and will need to show your income for the past few months

3-6 months of bank statements on your banks letter head ,pay slips and your work contract

DTV can not be applied for inside of Thailand.

E-Visa only, but you may need to attend a interview at the embassy in the country you are applying from.

Bank statements from the bank should be enough, can't imagine they'll call up the bank and ask for the information. Not even sure if the bank is allowed to give out that kind of information.

You will need to show proof of either employment or self-employment.

Search this group. Most of your questions can be answered with little difficulty.

Main question really seems to be whether your remote job "counts". Why wouldn't it? Are you leaving something out about it in your post? Do you get paid? Do you have a contract?

How much did the DTV fee cost?

Also from my personal experience and from reading other anecdotes, it seems embassies in HCMC and Hanoi are the easiest/quickest ones to apply to. May want to search some info about those ones. E.g. around October 2024 HCMC only required bank statement indicating 500k baht, no need for 3-6 months. I gave a 1 month statement and had transfered money in the day prior to application. Met the requirement only for that day

Not a big thing nowadays.

some meeting bookers also double up as sales/HR admin support.
