Hi all, I’m feeling worried about being able to enter Thailand because of this stamp in my passport during a Vientiane border run from back in 2018, any advice is great appreciated.

Ps. US passport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post expresses concern about a passport stamp obtained during a 2018 border run affecting entry into Thailand. Several commenters reassured the original poster (OP) that the stamp is likely not a concern after four years. They suggested considering various visa options, including a Thai tourist visa and Visa Exempt Entry, noting updated regulations, such as changes to the duration of allowed entry. They also advised checking with the relevant Thai embassy or consulate for specific visa application information.

It looks like more of a note to embassies that you might not be able to get a visa, not a note to immigration that you may be denied entry. But after 4 years it's not really relevant either way.

In the USA look at the websites of the Thai Embassy or Consulate which serves your State of residence. Google for their website location

NO need to worry. That was 4 years ago...You are now welcome to travel to Thailand.

Choose the Visa best for your planned visit or stay in Thailand.

A Thai tourist visa gets you 60 days stamp on arrival plus One 30 day extension of stay at Thai immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.

IF you are planning to stay longer, suggest you look at the METV multiple entry tourist visa. With planning it can get you up to 9 months stay in Thailand with a couple simple land border bounces.

Or you can enter Thailand VISA EXEMPT which gets you 45 days stamp on arrival plus One 30 day extension of stay at Thai immigration office for 1900 Thai baht. = 75 day stay in Thailand.

The 45 days Visa Exempt Entry is available thru March 31 2023. From April 1 it's 30 days Visa Exempt Entry.

Both can be extended for 30 days at Thai immigration office.
