Thai Certificate of Residence while on the DTV visa?

I just applied for the DTV visa and I'm waiting for the consolate to release the passports. I'm planning to buy a car in Thailand, but what I'm reading online is that I will need a thai Residence certificate for the paperwork.

It's possible to get the Residence Certificate while on the DTV visa?

Hello expats. I could use a bit of insight I guess? I am trying to figure out why immigration charged my gf so much for an overstay. The law states $500 baht per day. The last day on her visa was 1 July, she crossed the border on 31 July.

By my count 15k baht, but they clearly wrote her fine was $18,500. Why the extra $3,500?

If you have a tax-free pension in your home country such as Australia will that pension be tax-free in Thailand? It is essential to know if my pension of about US $2,700 or Aus $4000 a month with tax-free super will be taxed otherwise I will spend 179 days in Thailand and the rest in Cambodia or maybe the Philippines or back in Australia. Presently it's all up in the air with no clear result. No one seems to know.

Hi all.

In the process of applying for a

Non immigrant b visa.

On the purpose of the visa is it buisness visa or employment.

The purpose of me getting this is to apply for a work permit as I need a bank account for a company I’ll be setting up.

Last year I started having problems with my Thai wife and I went back to UK for 6 months to work as I usually do, I came back on a 90 day O visa based on marriage.

When I arrived back I found out she has left my home with all her possessions , I have not seen her for the 3 weeks I’ve been back and can only communicate via messenger.

My question is I would like to change my visa to a retirement visa, I’ve got the 800,000 in the bank now.

Is this possible and how would I do it?

I don’t want to try for 1 yr marriage visa because I think we could soon be divorced.

Please no sarcastic comments I’m going through a hard time at the moment

I have 2 Q‘s regarding obtaining an O visa. I have stayed in Thailand many years on an O-A - US passport.

1. Many responses here talk of the 800,000 baht bank deposit. Does an O accept the over 65,000/month income threshold that an O-A accepts?

2. Some responses have mentioned leaving Thailand about the time the last extension expires. If you leave Thailand on an O-A but without a reentry permit isn’t your O-A automatically invalidated? Thus requiring a tourist visa upon reentry.

Thanks for clarifying.

What documents would I need to bring with me to convert a VOA to an NON-O? US citizen 59 retired with a pension that meets minimum requirements. (65k baht)

FBI police clearance, Passport, Pension proof?

The instructions say an 800k baht deposit or a pension. Am I reading that right?

Is it one or the other?

Someone said don't get the O-A

just get the O. What's the difference.

Thanks for your help.
