I have a hi pathetically question. Which has come about, after others have said that 'if you are staying in a hotel on the date that you are due to do your 90 day report, you need to do nothing, as the hotel will automatically report where you are to immigration.. am very skeptical of this as in my experience many hotels wouldn't do it, and I wonder,

How much is the fine for not doing your 90 day report would be. Because you thought that the hotel was going to do the report for you but found out later that they actually didn't.. what will the penalty be to you ?? .

If it's a low penalty I might have to consider not bothering to do the 90 day report any more.. and if immigration eventually say something to me about it.. I can just say that I have been staying in hotels and I thought that they had done it for me.

When you leave the hotel, do they tell you when your next report date is ? How else would you know .
