Hello Everyone,
I have a question about staying in compliance with the TM 30
I Have about 6 months left on my extension.
non o based on retirement multiple entry.
I have been out of Thailand traveling for about 5 months now.
I ended the lease on a rental house the last time I was in Thailand and I am planning on living in a different province when I return in a few weeks.
Upon returning to Thailand I plan to stay one night at a hotel in Bangkok and then take a bus to another province where I will stay in a hotel until I can find a condo or apartment to rent as soon as possible.
Can the hotels report my stay to Immigration and print copy of the TM 30 for me to keep?
Is that all that is necessary until I rent a condo and the landlord files a TM 30 ?
Thank you in advance for any advice you may have.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around TM30 compliance for expats returning to Thailand on a Non-O visa based on retirement. The user plans to stay at a hotel upon return and inquires if the hotels can register their stay and provide a TM30 copy, and whether this suffices until they find long-term accommodation. Comments clarify that hotels are required to submit TM30 forms and that a receipt can be requested for confirmation. It is reiterated that as long as the latest TM30 is filed, the prior ones are not necessary until close to the 90-day report.
