I just went to the Immigration Office in Nakhon Si Thammarat, want to apply for Covid Visa Extension, they told me they require not only the booking confirmation but also the report from hotel in the check-in day that I really stay there. Is it really required? When I came to Thailand on a TR Visa, nobody needed any report from the hotel I booked.
I'm sorry if this question appeared here already. I couldn't find anything via my phone.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for a hotel report when applying for a Covid Visa Extension in Thailand is indeed necessary. It is advised to request a copy of the TM30 form from your accommodation, which the front desk or landlord should have filed upon your check-in. If the TM30 is unavailable, providing your booking details may serve as an alternative.
It is required. Wherever you are staying, ask the front desk / landlord for a copy of the TM30 they are required to file when you checked in to their property. If not available, then you must furnish your booking details as an alternative.
Thanks for the response. My current Visa ends on 7th of May. Does this mean I should check-in in the hotel on 7th of May or 8th of May and get the TM30 reported by the frontdesk? Or it can be done earlier?
Thanks. Before I thought that the report should be made somewhere on the cross of the end date of my Visa and the extension. I understand that the report should be done just before applying for a Visa extension. I already figured out how to solve it. The problem was that I have been temporarily staying as a guest in an apartment that my friend rents and we both did not want to bother the apartment's owner about the TM30 report, so the plan is that I book a hotel room just to get the TM30 report.
