With all the new changes I've been reading, if entered on Visa Exempt can we still apply for 30 day extension of Stay? If yes, is it added to the end of the first 30 days, i.e. 30+30? If unvaxxed, do we need some kind of test (pcr or other) to enter the immigration office?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, if you enter Thailand on a Visa Exempt, you can apply for a 30-day extension of stay, resulting in a total of 60 days (30+30). Currently, there are no new requirements for testing or vaccination to apply for this extension.

NOt sure what changes you did read, but there is no change in applications for a 30 day Extension of Stay based on tourism.

There is no insurance or vaccination needed to apply.
