Sorry, if Iโm repeating a previously asked question. I arrived on a 30 day exemption visa and intend to extend another 30 days. Can I go to immigration and extend prior to my last day or do I have to apply for the extension on the day my exemption expires which is August 15. Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can apply for a 30-day extension on your exemption visa at any time within the last 30 days of your current visa stamp, including before it expires. The extension will simply be added to your remaining days, and you will not lose any time.

most immigration offices accept 30 days tourism extension within the last 30 days of your current stamp. And 30 days tourism extension is added (top-up) to your stamp, you wouldn't 'lose' any day when you apply for it in advance. You can go to apply anytime now.
Here is general information for 30 days tourism extension
