TLDR : Answer Summary
The extension of the visa exemption period from 30 to 45 days applies only to individuals entering Thailand on or after October 1st. Since you are already in Thailand on a 30-day exemption, you will not automatically receive the extended stay, but you can apply for a 30-day extension at the immigration office for 1900 baht.

the increase from 30 to 45 days on visa exempt/waiver entries only counts for people who enter ON or after Oct 1st ๐Ÿ˜‰

you're already here, you got 30 days and you can extend that once for 30 more for 1900baht at the immigration office ๐Ÿ™‚
