Hi all. The school that I was working for is planning to cancel my work permit. Is it correct that my visa will automatically be canceled, too? Is there anything that I must do before going for a boarder run? The school isn't helping me to explain this thoroughly.

TLDR : Answer Summary
If your school cancels your work permit, the implications for your visa depend on your current visa status. If you are on an extension of stay, your visa will become invalid immediately upon cancellation of the work permit, and you have 24 hours to leave the country. If you are on an initial 90-day NON-B visa, you can stay until the visa expires. It's crucial to handle the cancellation process with the Labour office and immigration properly for compliance.

The minute your work permit is cancelled your visa becomes null and void if you were in extension of stay. If you were in first Non B for 90 days then you don't have to leave before it expires. If extension to stay then you have 24h to leave
since you are on the initial visa you don't have to leave once your work permit is cancelled. As mentioned you can stay as long as the entry stamp grants you.
OK, while the school can cancel your work permit, it is your responsibility. You take the letter the Labour office give you and then go to immigration and cancel your extension of stay and leave that date, (you can do this ahead of time). If however you are on an actual VISA then you can stay until your permitted date.
your Visa is cancelled at the border. Cancel your WP one day before and take the letter with you. They may or may not ask for it at the immigration border office.
