If you quit your job your work permit will be cancelled and also your visa attached to it. Before you could get 7 day extension and use this to leave the country and get tourist visa.

For the moment the BOI that will provide my next work permit/visa is delayed. Someone know what to do in the mean time for visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you quit your job in Thailand, your work permit and the associated visa are automatically canceled. You are typically given a short period to leave the country, but there is no standard 7-day extension anymore. If your work permit is issued through the BOI, you can seek assistance from the BOI One Stop Service Center to handle the cancellation properly. It's advisable to maintain clear communication and use proper terminology when discussing your situation with the BOI and immigration authorities.

We all understand if we all use the correct terminology.

If we all start to use our own words it would end up in a mess.

Contact BOI, they have special arrangements with the Ministry of Labor and the Immigration Office.

The rules are not the same as for other smaller companies, good luck and stay healthy

No. if you quit your job, YOU are responsible that your work permit and your Extension of Stay stamped in your passport get cancelled.

There is no 7 day Extension of Stay, the new application is not approved and you got 7 days to leave the country.

NOW, it you worked for a BOI company the BOI One Stop Service Center helps you out to cancel this all the correct way.

Not sure what you mean with the are delayed, it could be busy but you need them to organize and help you.
