What is the processing time and experience for applying for a DTV visa in Laos?
Hi, has anyone recently applied for a DTV visa in Laos? I’d like to know about your experiences after submitting all required documents to the Thai Embassy. What was the fastest processing time you’ve experienced, and how many business days did it take to receive approval?
Answer summary
The DTV visa application process in Laos involves submitting your documents online and then taking a printed QR code to the Thai Embassy to make a cash payment. Typically, applicants receive an email with their interview date within a week. The interview usually occurs 1-2 weeks from that email, and in many cases, applicants receive their visa approval before returning to their hotel.

In Laos, once you submit online you must print the QR code and take it to the embassy to pay in cash during their morning payment hours.
Once that's done, you should receive an e-mail within a week or so with your interview date. All DTV applicants are interviewed in Laos. The date of the interview is normally 1-2 weeks from when you receive the e-mail.
After the interview, many people receive the visa before they can even get back to their hotel.

If the status is showing “Pending Approval,” does that mean I basically just have to wait for the visa now?Brandon ************
GrayWallaby2351 the status doesn't really matter. There's nothing you can do but wait regardless of what the status is.
