What should I do if I haven't received my tourist visa from Thailand before my flight?
I applied my tourist visa from Australia on 14 sept 2026 and my flight is tomorrow and i still havent heard from them. No email or call response, i am very sad. My flight is tomorrow 23 oct 2026

Thailand didn't put on enough staff to process the visas. Used to take about 10 days to send your passport to thai embassy in Canberra and get a 60 day tourist visa. Sent postage paid envelopes etc. Now its online it is taking longer? Vietnam visa takes about 4 business days online. The difference must be thailands is not processed in thailand?

I was in the same situation, what I did was to call the embassy directly, I explained my situation and they processed the visa that day. I hope they do it for you too!!

OPIaredi Sabinas problem is they are not picking call. Canberaa embassy cant do anything if i have applied to Sydney consulate. And sydney counslate dont have extension number for visa section, they asked to reach out on email, which i have already done several times

Submit applications online through thaievisa.go.th under the jurisdiction of the Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad or the Consulate-General in Karachi. You must be physically present in Pakistan during the application process

Unfortunately given your Pakistan nationality you will have to cancel or change your flight. The airline will not let you board without being able to show a visa and even if they did immigration will definitely refuse entry.

I applied for a 30 day extension a month before flying to Thailand. They got back to me when I was in Thailand then said it had been cancelled with no reason for the cancelation. I had booked flights to stay 46 days in Thailand.I then went to the thai embassy in Surat Thani and 60 minutes later I had a 30 day visa extension which cost me 1900 baht. So much easier to do in Thailand

Dave Owen ..Dave I recieved my reply that my 30 day visa extension which I did in Australia had been cancelled while I was visiting Surat Thani, so I went to the thai immigation there and made a successful application there. I did say embassy David. I should have said thai immigration in Surat Thani.

George Mourmouris your passport has everything to do with it, not all countries get a visa exemption coming here

George Mourmouris Well by George You could not be more wrong. As he has a Pakistan passport they will not take him at all without a visa. Even if he's going for one day. The Amadeus system (specifically Altéa Suite) performs a variety of checks, it knows that as a Pakistan passport holder he needs a visa to travel to Thailand. As soon as his passport details are entered in Amadeus, the check in agent will be prompted to check his visa. As he does not have a visa he will be flagged "Not OK" (Do-Not-Board). A gate agent or check-in agent cannot legally or operationally let you board an international flight without a valid visa, unless your destination allows visa-free entry, visa-on-arrival, or an electronic travel authorization for your passport country and therefore it has everything to do with his nationality.

LovableApricot2624 the passport is your problem, Pakistani passports go through additional scrutiny which takes a longer time. The consulate in Sydney quotes 4 to 6 weeks for Pakistani passports, I suspect Canberra is similar

They emailed me in my spam asking for the document, I gave it to them and got my visa the next day. My passport is Australian. We applied 4 weeks ago. But now we have to apply for my child’s visa and our flight leaves Monday 26th.
It’s ok, you can fly in visa exempt and take your documents and then when it comes through you can leave and fly out and fly back in again to activate it. Or I have heard sometimes it comes through the day of your flight.

How long? If you have an Aussie passport you get 30 days visa free entry and then you can extend at the immigration office for another 30 days
