Has anyone successfully obtained DTV dependent visas for children where they couldn’t provide a signed parental consent letter with photo ID from the other parent?

I’m applying for a DTV and dependent visas for my children from the UK. I have full birth certificates and UK Family Court orders confirming that the children live with me, but obtaining the standard parental consent documentation may not be possible.

I’m particularly interested in hearing from anyone who:

• Applied with court orders instead of a consent letter

• Had an absent or non-involved parent

• Was asked for additional documents by the Thai Embassy

• Successfully obtained dependent visas in similar circumstances

I’ve tried contacting the Thai Embassy but haven’t been able to get a response yet.

I’d really appreciate hearing about your actual experience and what documents were accepted.

My toddler doesn’t have a visa he just gets an approved overstay every-time we leave no charge no penalties. Kids under a certain age don’t really need a DTV. Not sure how old yours are but worth looking to. We haven’t faced any issues whatsoever.

Bobby Broward are they likely to change the laws in this? I have another friend that also does this with his kids l. However An expat friend was telling me they can be banned for life in some situations. So makes me a bit nervous to do this.

not exactly an "approved" overstay, they get an overstay stamp in their passport but there are no penalties for overstay up to the age of 15.

Anyone's experience means nothing if they used a different Embassies as they work independently and set their own requirements
