TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the likelihood of a home visit by immigration officers for their marriage visa extension, which is currently under consideration until January 2026. Community responses indicate that visits are common but typically announced in advance. They suggested that the user should have informed immigration about their travel plans to ensure coordination.
Did you explain to the immigration officer your plan to leave Thailand and what dates you would be out of the country when you applied for the extension so they could time any home visit for when you are there? If not you should go back to the relevant section and explain to them. Don't rely on the fact a different section gave you a re-entry permit
Your marriage visa ran out when it expired. You are not renewing your marriage visa. You have applied for an exension of stay based on being married to a Thai. You have been given an "under consideration" stamp. It is likely that Immigration officers will want to visit you and your partner at your home.
