I plan to extend (single) Non O marriage visa from 90 days to 1 year for my husband at Bangkok Immigration next week. I would like to ask if there is miminum days required to submit documents before visa expires since I’m waiting for my husband bank account to be completed exactly 2 months on 27 Jun, however his visa will expire on 2 July. I booked appointment online on 28 Jun that should be ok? Or any suggestions that I should do, just worry about the date gap is too close to the expiry date and they won’t accept this, thank you so much ☺️

Ps: anyone went there recently please share the process is it waiting for long queue nowadays or any specific points that they will check 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user seeks advice on extending their husband's Non-O marriage visa from 90 days to 1 year, expressing concern about the submission timeline since the bank account documentation will only be ready shortly before the current visa expires. A comment clarifies that there is no strict rule regarding the number of days left before the current visa stamp expires when applying for an extension, advising that they can apply as long as there are 30 days or less left.

nope if you are applying for an extension on an existing Non-O visa there is no "apply with xxx days left on your current stamp" rule. At most offices you can apply any time you have 30 days or less left on your stamp right down until the day the current stamp runs out.. You should be fine. Make sure you review the documentation required so that you can get it done in one try as you are cutting it close..

Good luck with it

Tod Daniels thank you Tod, so I just prepare all documents on hand before going. And normally do they ask us to wait for 1 months for a result?

, you will get under consideration for 3-4 weeks, then go back to the immigration to get the stamp for the rest of the year.

can I have one more question about condo rent contract since now we stay at condo (rent) not same as my house registration. Apart from condo contract, do I need to ask condo’s owner to provide me copy of this condo registration and copy of his ID card too? Are they really particular about this or just prepare everything in case. Thank you
