Hi everyone!

I'm looking for confirmations and I apologies if this questions may look silly or already been asked!

I'm on a 1year multiple entry non o visa based on marriage.and i need to do my first visa run by 12.12.

All I have to do is: cross any border, get stamped out of thailand and in in the new country, right? then i can be back in thailand even on the same day.No papers done in advance, no money, all I will need is my passport. This is my understanding so far.Is it correct? for safety ill bring the 20k cash.

Do I need a re entry permit or any paper done before in order to get stamped in again ? and can i do it even few days before the actual end of my 90 days?

Thank anyone who took the time to read my post, wish you all a good weekend.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the process of completing a visa run from Thailand while on a one-year multiple entry Non-O visa based on marriage. They want to confirm that they can simply exit Thailand, get stamped into a neighboring country (like Malaysia or Cambodia), and then return to Thailand, while only needing their passport. They inquire about the requirements for re-entry, mention bringing cash for emergencies, and ask about the timing related to their 90-day admission period. Commenters confirm that a re-entry permit is not needed for multiple entry visa holders and provide insights into the procedures for border crossings and entry fees.

I live in Kanchanaburi and have used the Phu Nam Ron (Kanchanaburi) crossing many times without any problem. You leave your car 100m before the border and walk to Imm. For a Non-Imm O the only cost is 960 baht paid after you have passed through Imm. at a window on the LH side. For this one-off payment you are ferried by van to Myanmar, the driver does all the paperwork, you sit in the van. He then returns you and in/out stamped passport to Thai Imm - very straightforward. I've never been asked to show 20k.

You shouldn't have any problem bouncing out and back in at that border. There's a visa run company from bangkok that takes people there too.

You will have to buy a day pass to get stamped in and out of burma and it's either 10USD (using a pristine bill) or 500 baht.

You are pretty much correct. You wont need a re entry permit and just your passport and arrival/departure card when re entering Thailand. You may need to buy a visa for the country you're entering depending on nationality and where you cross the border, this usually also requires a passport sized photo. You can go anytime during your 90 days admission.

You already have a multi-entry visa so you don't need a re-entry permit.

You can exit/re-enter the country as much as you want to during the validity of the visa and you'll be stamped in for 90 days every entry.

There is no amount of time you must be out of thailand so you can go to the border, stamp out of thailand, stamp in&out of another country and then right back into thailand. Keep in mind depending on your nationality you might need a visa to get into a neighboring country (like cambodia, burma & lao).
