Hello, thank you for accepting me into the group.

I have a question regarding re-entry permits for getting in and out of Thailand.

My situation: I will possibly recieve my marriage visa stamp on the 29th of March, and are planning to fly out of thailand on the 30th of March.

I am aware i need to apply for a reentry permit for getting in and out of thailand, but my question is, can i apply for the reentry permit before the 29th pf March? Or i can only apply for one once i recieve the marriage visa stamp?

Thanka lot for your help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the timing of applying for a re-entry permit in relation to receiving their marriage visa stamp. Responses indicated that the re-entry permit can only be applied for after the marriage visa stamp is received, which will be on March 29th. It is also mentioned that the re-entry permit can be purchased at the airport upon departure if needed.

You can buy also the re-entry stamp at intenational rairport when leaving Thailand in case you want not longer stay at immigration after receiving your year extension ๐Ÿ˜‰.

Easier to pick up his passport with his extension and immediately ask for a re-entry permit as, in most offices, there are not multiple desks so the same Officer would deal with it

You apply for a re-entry permit on the current stamp you already have in your passport. You get your visa/extension first, then apply for a re-entry permit on it.

Is your reference to the stamp being the one year extension of stay as Married to Thai?

AND you will already have completed the UNDER CONSIDERATION time period...

And the STAMP is in your passport ???

If so, you can get a re-entry permit at the Thai Immigration office when you get the STAMP in your passport on Friday March 29th.

You cannot get the re-entry permit stamp before your one Year stamp is in your passport.
