Can I do a border run on a NON-IMM O visa to extend my stay?

Could I get some clarification please?

I am currently on a NON-IMM O visa extension based on marriage, expiring on 18 Nov 2019.

I have seen a reply somewhere to this but cannot find the post, that if I do a border run, (possibly LAOS), just prior to it's expiry, I can get stamped in for another 12 months, without all the required paperwork required for a renewal. Sounds too good to be true. Is that correct?

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The idea that a border run can extend a NON-IMM O visa is incorrect. While border runs can sometimes grant extensions for specific visa types, such as the NON-IMM O multi-entry visa, they do not apply to yearly extensions of stay based on a NON-IMM O visa. Extensions for the NON-IMM O require renewal through official immigration channels.

you are confusing the difference between a VISA you get from a thai consulate and an extension you get from the immigration office.
@J**
is correct, you get NO extra time exiting/re-entering on a yearly extension of stay (with a re-entry permit) :/

A Non Imm O multi entry Visa for marriage is extended by three months if one does a border crossing and returns Before the Expiry Date of that one year. Very commonly done

Not true for a Non Imm O...

But true for a Non Imm O-A Visa... Note the A
