My work visa will be cancelled on 31st March. My flight out is 6th April. Will immigration automatically give me the 7 day to leave the country or will I have to apply for the 7 day extension for 1900baht? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
Once your work visa is canceled on March 31st, you will not automatically receive a 7-day grace period to leave the country. You must apply for a 7-day extension, which typically costs 1900 baht. It's recommended to have this fee ready as it is not provided automatically unless you're affiliated with a BOI/IEAT company utilizing specific visa services.

AFAIK, you will have to apply for the 7 day 'extension denied' stamp for 1900baht.

As a rule it is not given for free unless you're working for a BOI/IEAT company that uses the One Stop Service Center for the visa /extension processing.

BUT

Believe me you'll find out when you show up on March 31st at the immigration office to cancel your extension πŸ™‚ πŸ˜› So have the 1900baht handy just in case you do have to pay

and a copy of the air ticket for the 6th.

Must apply for any extension.
